Secret Society Broken Up
.-Reuter—CopvrigM) MELBOURNE, February 20. Dutch intelligence men had broken up a pro-Indonesian secret -society plotting the overthrow of the Netherlands rule in West New (Juinea. a special reporter of the Melbourne “Sun News-Pictorial” said today. At a Court hearing yesterday two of the plotters—both New Guinea-born Indonesians —were each sentenced to six years' imprisonment Two Chinese and two Papuans were each sentenced to five years' imprisonment and one Chinese to four years. Two other Papuans were each imprisoned for a year. Altogether, about 20 of the society’s leaders had beefi arrested in raids at Biak, Japan Island, Manokwair, Fakfak and Hollandia, the reporter said.
