(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Feb. 20. Carlton and United Breweries, Ltd., has taken over Thos. McLaughlin Pty., Ltd., Rockhampton brewers, for an undisclosed sum. The consideration is in Carlton and United Breweries “Z” shares. Thos. McLaughlin owns and operates a brewery and owns hotels in the area. C. and U.B. will carry it on as a separate company.
