Centenarian Dies At Napier
<N -Z Press 4 ssoctatton > NAPIER. February 10. Napier’s oldest citizen and only centenarian, Mrs Elizabeth Esther Thayer, died at her Hastings street home today. She was 101. Mrs Thayer, who was born in Jersey, had lived in the same house in Napier for 64 years She had been a semiinvalid since breaking her hip in 1892, but had been closely associated with many organisations in Napier.
