Fair Inquiry For Lamb

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 10. The Market Information Service of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board reports that there was a fair inquiry for good supplies of New Zealand lamb this week on Smithfield market, London. Quotations for the heavier weights were unchanged from last week. There were reduced prices for others at the beginning of the week, and these remained steady throughout. Seconds were quoted at 20jd to 21d per lb. There was a slow inquiry for light supplies of New Zealand mutton. Quotations were lOd to 14d per lb for wethers and 9jd to 12Jd per lb for ewes. There were plentiful supplies of beef. New Zealand g.a.q. ox hinds were at 20d and fores at 16d per lb. Prices for New Zealand meat, ex hooks Smithfield, in the week ended February 7, with the variation since the previous week, are quoted as follows:
