SHIELD RULES
Changes Made By Council (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Feb. 10. The council of the New Zealand Rugby Union made two changes today in the Ranfurly Shield rules. In future, if a union loses and regains the shield in the same season, the original challenges will be restored.
Also, if the shield changes hands in the last week of August. unions will have a week in which to lodge challenges. The changes will be placed before the annual meeting in April.
