Man Charged With Hastings Offence (New Zealand Pres* Association) WELLINGTON, December 31. The theft of a family’s camping gear from the roof rack of their car outside a Hastings hotel on Thursday night resulted in the appearance in the Magistrate’s Court in Wellington today. of John Laird Taylor, aged 37, a barman, of Hastings, charged with the theft of property valued at a total of £99 15s, owned by Hugh David Falconer, of Christchurch. Taylor was remanded by Mr W. H. Carson, S.M., to appear in Hastings on January 6. He did not plead to the chfc-ge. I
