More Than 80 Take Part More than 80 archers from throughout the Dominion took part in the first clay of the New Zealand archery championships at ChristChurch yesterday. The men shot an American round, the women and intermediates shot junior American rounds, and the juniors shot an Olympic round. The juniors shot 15 ends at 30 yards and an unattached bowman, L - was a vei *y easy winner of this section with 1454 points. His nearest competitor was R. Spiers (Wellington Y.M.CJC), with 121" Spiers, in turn, was well clear of the rest of the field. „ Bruning. of Westport, won the first of the men’s national titles with his score of 1398 in the American round. Second was J. Fuller (WeiJihgton) and two Mangere bowmen. G. Hartner and J. Hincho. were next. Winners of the women’s and juniors competitions were L. Vincent (North Shore), and D. Bryant (Howlck) respectively. Perfect ends, six arrows in the gold, were shot by the following: eniG £ : Polska, 40 yards American; S Mitchener, 40 yards American: V. Menrath, 40 yards American;S. Davis, 40 yards American; A._Bnan, 40 yards American. Women: Mrs J. Burgess, 30 yards American; Mrs P. Hoilay, 30 yards American (twice); Mrs J. Spiers 30 yards American. Juniors: R.
