MR J. S. HANNA

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 27. One of New Zealand’s best known Stipendiary Magistrates, Mr James Sugden Hanna, who for a number of years was the senior Magistrate in Wellington, died today at his home at Karori. He was 66. He had recently been discharged from Wellington Hospital where he had undergone an operation. The Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) said today that Mr Hanna had been a distinguished Magistrate with many fine qualities, not least of which was his gentlemanly bearing. Mr Hanan deplored his passing and extended his deep sympathy to Mrs Hanna and family.
