More Telegrams Sent By Telephone
Telegrams sent or delivered by telephone in Chriatchurch during the pre-Christmas rush have been, on average, 218 a day above last year’s level. Since December 5. 17,196 telegrams have been received by the phonogram room of the Chriatchurch Post Office by telephone from Christchurch subscribers for onward tramsmission, while 11,593 have been telephoned out to subscribers.
