VISITING SEAMEN AT CHRISTMAS
Lyttelton Plans For Entertainment
Arrangements for the entertainment of seamen in Lyttelton for Christmas were made at the December meeting of the Lyttelton branch of the British Sailors’ Society.
On Christmas night a programme of pictures will precede a carol service, supper, and the distribution of a gift to each seaman present. At this function a special message of Christmas greetings from the British Minister of Transport (Mr Ernest Marples) will be read.
