Snow, Fog In U.K.
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December 14.
Snow and fog caused dangerous road conditions tonight in many parts of Britain. Near Ormskirk, Lancashire, a skidding bus with 60 passengers careered through a village and killed a 71-year-old widow. In Edinburgh, Scotland, a four-year-old boy was killed on an ice and fog-bound road which he was’ crossing with his mother. Shipping on the Clyde, and ferry services at Queensferry, North Wales, were halted by fog. Overnight trains from London to Glasgow, Scotland, were delayed for up to 90 minutes.
