Walker’s Progress
.Mr A. H. Reed, the 85-year-old author ' and publisher, who is walking from North Cape to Bluff, completed the Wairarapa leg of his journey yesterday. He set off from Masterton yesterday morning and was greeted by hundreds of persons, including school children, who lined the route. Due to arrive in Wellington tomorrow. Mr Reed spent last night with Mr Norman Shepherd at Featherston. He met Mr Shepherd 44 years ago when they were sergeants at the old Featherston Military Camp.—(P.A.)
