GOOD WISHES EXCHANGED
Mr Eisenhower And Mr Holyoake (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 15. President Eisenhower has cabled to the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) and his colleagues heartiest congratulations and best wishes, with the confidence that United States-New Zealand cooperation and friendship will continue to grow under the new Government. Mr Holyoake has replied expressing delight with Mr Eisenhower’s message, and assuring the President that everything will be done to maintain the close co-operation and warm friendship that exist between the Government and peoples of the two countries.
An invitation to Mr Eisenhower to visit New Zealand, issued by the previous Government, was renewed by the National Government on taking office.
