Christmas Appeals

Sir,—We again invite the public to send gifts to the Christchurch Methodist Central Mission so that the lonely, the aged, frail, and infirm, and families in straitened circumstances may know that somebody cares when the mission workers distribute Christmas parcels next week. Gifts especially suitable are small Christmas cakes and puddings, sweets, tinned foods, toilet goods, toys, etc. Gifts of money will be acceptable for personal relief in necessitous cases. All gifts will be acknowledged. The Mission community welfare work functions to meet genuine human need, as and where it occurs. The need is with us not only at Christmas but throughout the years. To the large number of individuals- and oganisations who have helped us during the year we express our grateful thanks. Gifts may be addressed ' to the Christchurch Central Mission, 209 Cambridge terrace, P.O. Box 1449, Christchurch.—Yours, etc., W. E. FALKINGHAM, City Missioner. December 14, 1960.
