Glass Penthouse As Office

The penthouse of 750 square feet on top of the Canterbury Building Society’s new building is now the office of Mr P. J. Beaven, who was architect for the building. The walls of the penthouse are of glass. A slatted sun canopy extends six feet beyond the walls. Linen curtains cah be drawn to give a restful effect if the sunshine is too bright One wall in the drawing office is a blackboard. The interior dividing walls and the ceiling are painted white. Doors open to the terrace where there will be pot plants. This roof deck is available to other tenants in the building.
