Canterbury Rinks Win On Coast (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, December 11. Teams representing the Canterbury Bowling Centre retained possession of the Lindley-O’Neill Cup when they beat teams from the West Coast Centre in a contest at Greymouth on Saturday. Canterbury scored 372 points to West Coast’s 277. In the morning games at* the Karoro green, Canterbury scored 173 points against 145, while at the Greymouth green in the afternoon the totals favoured the visitors by 199 points to 132. Facing a deficit of 28 points at the commencement of play after lunch, the West Coast teams made a good effort, as, at afternoon tea time, each centre had obtained 69 points. From that stage on, however, Canterbury proved much superior. The following were the results, Canterbury skips being named first: At Karoro.—Stapleton 15, Peryman 13; J. A. Smith 26, White 20; Reardon 16, Goodall 19; Craig 20; Deady 20; Howden 18, Mardon 21; Rennie 20, Thomson -21; Larcombe 23, Sadler 12; Pirrie 35, F. Smith 19. At Greymouth.—Larcombe 25.
