Two Grass Fires In 15 Minutes
Two grass fires occurred within--15 minutes and in areas not more than a mile apart last evening. Both outbreaks were attended by one unit from the Sydenham Fire station.
At 7.18 p.m. a call, was received to a grass fire in Waltham Park. The fire was extinguished without difficulty and there was no damage. At 7.32 p.m. a call was received to Fifield terrace, where there was a grass fire at the side of the road. There was no damage.
