SHOPBREAKING IN ILAM AREA
Tinned fruit and other produce valued at £l5 were stolen from a store shed behind the shop of the Ilam and Creyke Fruit Supply. 134 Ilam road, during Thursday night Entry wa, gained by forcing a padlock on the shed. An attempt to force the shop door was unsuccessful.
Further along the road, at Wardell’s, Ltd's., premises. 250 Ilam road, thieves tried to break into the shop by forcing the front door, but were unsuccessful. An attempt to gain entry through a side window was also foiled, the window being protected by iron bars.
