LAUNDRY AT HOSPITAL
£97,715 Contracts Signed Tenders' to a total value of £97,715 have been let for additions to the laundry block at the Christchurch Hospital. The general building work has been awarded to the W Williamson Construction Company, Ltd., of Christchurch, for £77,100, and the mechanical servicing is to be performed by another Christchurch firm, Vale and Company. Ltd. tor £20,615. Tlje additions will be built on the manse site block opposite the hospital, where the existing laundry is situated. The extended facilities are needed to cope with the extra work provided by the Princess Margaret Hospital and by the genera] expansion of hospital services. -
The architects for the building are Messrs Manson, Seward, and Stanton No indication could be obtained yesterday of when work would be started.
