RESERVE BANK RETURN
Sterling Again Declines
Sterling and other exchange held by the Reserve Bank fell £l.9m to £ 29.9 m in the wedk. ended December 7. The previous week these items fell £3.2m. The seasonal rise in the note issue continued with a £3.6m lift to £93.1m. Net Government indebtedness to the bank rose £6.Bm. Trading banks’ deposits fell £3.5m, and trading banks' borrowings . from the Reserve Bank fell £4.3m. Main items from the latest week's return, with the previous week’s figures, are as follows:
