HISTORICAL SITES
Protection From Collectors The Canterbury Museum Archaeological Society supports the Canterbury tribal executive in its efforts to have historical sites protected from unauthorised collectors, says a statement issued by the secretary of the society (Mr B. N. Norris). “The council wishes to record its wholehearted support for the efforts of the Canterbury tribal executive in its endeavour to bring about legislation designed to protect all sites of historical and anthropological interest from the activities of unauthorised archaeologists and collectors.” says the statement.
