Some Prices Irregular

Competition was well maintained throughout the sale today when the London NovemberDecember wool sales continued, with an offering of 14.000 bales, state the London Wool Brokers, Ltd., and London agency of the New Zealand Wool Commission in a joint report. The bulk of the New Zealand wools catalogued were from the South Island, and included some good style scoured clips from the Timaru and Invercargill areas which sold very well at prices firm on the previous sale on December 2.

There was a little irregularity in average styles. Good style greasy crossbreds were mainly steady, but inferior styles at times were 2J per cent, cheaper. Among the slipes. combing lambs were fully firm, but there was some irregularity in clothing types of both sheep and lambs.

The offering of 9600 bales of New Zealand wool comprised 2800 greasy, 3200 scoured and 3600 slipes.
