The Minister of Customs (Mr Boord), who has been in Calvary Hospital, Wellington, for the last 10 days, left Wellington yesterday to return to Rotorua.—(P.A.)
Mr George Lindsy, who has been promoted to the position of Collector of Customs at Auckland; was given a presentation by the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association last evening. The association’s president (Mr J. K. Dobson) expressed appreciation of his co-operation with industrialists.
