U.S.-Polish Trade
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) AUGUSTA, Nov. 19. President Eisenhower today ended United States tariff discrimination against Poland. The more obviously was intended to drive a wedge between the Polish Communists and the Soviet Union, United Press International said. The President directed that the most-favoured-nation clause of the Trade Agreements Act of 1951 be reapplied to Poland, starting on December 16, after an eight-year lapse. This means that tariffs on Polish imports covered by trade agreements will be at least as favourable as the duties on imports from other nations.
