U.S. Wheat For Afghanistan
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) WASHIGTON, Nov. 19. The United States is giving Afghanistan 50,000 tons of wheat to assist that country in meeting its current grain needs, the State Department announced yesterday. The department said the grant would release local currency to finance school construction, education programmes, road construction, and agricultural development in Afghanistan.
