Heaton Wins 1960 Sports Meeting

The fifth annual Christchurch inter-intermediate school athletic sports were held at the Heaton Intermediate School grounds recently. The sports were won by the Heaton Intermediate School with 174 J points, second was Christchurch South with 81 points, third Shirley with 78j points, fourth Linwood with 73 points, and fifth Kirkwood, a new school competing for the first tinie. with 25 points. Heaton's supremacy was clearly marked in the firls* events and also in the throws and relays. It won by the large margin of 93 5 ,4 point*. Competitors were only permitted to compete In- two events and competitors who won both their events were G. McKenrie, A. Mottram. A. Rewai, H. Burrell (all of Heaton), and J.
