Entered At < Addington s: Inter - Dominion Championship series at Addington next February. - Nominations for the series do not close until November 18, but Apmat’a connexions ’ have already booked a space for him on a ship leaving Sydney for Wellington on January 13. Apftrat is one of . the outstand* ing pacers in Near South Wales. He was runner-up to Caduceus in th* gtand. final of the last series at SEstsM'Paris tn February. Hi* main, mission in the next few weeks will be the £5OOO Spiring Cup at Harold Park next Friday. News of Apmat was given yesterday by Mr R. W. Saunders, vice-president of the ' New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club. Mr Saunders has returned from a business trip to Sydney, where he met officials of the New South Wales Trotting Club and prominent owners and trainers.
The 1961 championship series at Addington bad aroused tremendous interest in Sydney, in particular, said Mr Saunders..lt appeared as though it was almost certain that six or eight Australian horses would compete.
