SALVATION ARMY STREET MUSIC
Opinion Of Dominion Conference The music of the Salvation Army should continue to be heard on the streets of New Zealand although changing social habits might call for retiming of the performances. This was the unanimous opinion of a conference of Dominion Salvation Army local officers held near Wellington last week-end. Ways of presenting the Christian attitude to employers and fellow employees when occasion demanded and of most effectively influencing public opinion; the perils to personal character which accompanied the benefits of the welfare state; the task of translating the original aims and purposes of the Salvation Army into contemporary language and activity and other matters came under detailed review.
