EGG PRICES UP AGAIN
Average Increase Of 6d Dozen (New , Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 14. The retail price of eggs will be increased on Monday next by an average of 6d a dozen. The increases are: large grade, 7d; standard, 6d; medium, 8d; pullet, 4d; and duck eggs, aH grades, 6d. The new prices for hen eggs announced today by the Egg Marketing Authority are:— Nelson and Marlborough.— Large, 4s 8d; standard, 4s 3d; medium, 3s lOd; pullet grades, 3s; mixed, 4s Id. Canterbury and Otago.—Large, 4s fid; standard, 4s Id; medium, 3s 8d; pullet, 2s lOd: mixed, 3s lid. Westland.—Large, 4s 8d; standard, 4s 3d; medium, 3s lOd; pullet, 2s IQd; mixed, 4s Id. Cartoned eggs will be Id a dozen more.
