WORLD TITLES AT TOKYO
N.Z. Team May Compete
Wrestlers in the national championships in Christchurch last evening were given an incentive greater than titles. They were told there was a possibility of some of them going to compete at next year’s world championships at Tokyo during May. It was the policy ot the Dominion Wrestling Union to organise New Zealand representation overseas where possible, particularly for tournaments comparatively close at hand, tha chairman of the 1960 amateur committee (Mr L. W. Woods) said. Mr Woods said there wa< a possibility of “up to a full team” being sent. The team would comprise eight wrestlers—one for eacn weight.
