After short formal business which included the asking of six questions by members. Parliament yesterday morning continued to discuss the estimates.
The following estimates (with the amounts actually spent in the previous year in brackets) were passed: Customs, £693,400 (£620.988); broadcasting account, £1.976,290 (£1.683.405); publicity, £1,130,000 (£1,068.180); public trustee's account. £920,200 (£823,068); Government insurance account, £536,010 (£403.118). The House rose at 4.40 pm. until 2.30 pm. on Tuesday.
