Jerseys Stolen
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SPRINGS (Transvaal), Aug. 1. The All Blacks had their playing jerseys stolen from their bus while they were at a dance given in Springs by the Eastern Transvaal Rugby Union last night. The canvas bag containing the jerseys was found split open. The players’ personal kit was strewn all over the bus, but only the jerseys were missing. The All Blacks' manager (Mr T. H. Pearce) said he assumed that the jerseys had been taken by souvenir hunters. But, as they were the team’s last issue, they were badly needed. He appealed for them to be returned to the Eastern Transvaal Union.
