JOHANNESBURG CONFERENCE
Hogg And Pearce N.Z. Delegates [From GRAEME JENKINS, N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent} JOHANNESBURG, August X Because of a 24-hour delay in the aircraft bringing him from Australia. the chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union, Mr C. S. Hogg, will have to make a quick dash from Jan Smuts airport to Pretoria if he is to see the All Blacks play Combined Services tomorrow afternoon as planned. He was to have been met today by the entire All Black party, but because of the match it is likely that only the non-players will be there to greet him. Amongst the earliest engagements he will undertake is a meeting in Johannesburg on Friday between New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. The two Australian delegates to the conference, Messrs T. McCormack and W. J. Breckenridge, have been in South Africa more than a week. Amongst the Items almost certainly on the agenda paper will be the question of forthcoming tours and also of any contentious points which have arisen during the course of the present New Zealand tour of South {Africa. Mr Hogg and the manager of the All Blacks (Mr T. H. Pearce) will represent New Zealand at the conference. It is believed five, members of th South African Rugby Union will attend the meeting. The agenda and proceedings of the meeting will be kept secret, but a statement will be issued later to the newspapers.
