Cricket TAYFIELD ON FORM

Glamorgan All Out (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, July 31. On a rain affected pitch, the South African off-splnner, H. Tayfield, turned on his best performance of the English tour to help to dismiss Glamorgan for 111 on the first day of the return match at Swansea yesterday. Tayfield took seven wickets for 51 runs, but at stumps South Africa had lost three wickets for 36. Tayfield took three wickets for one run in his fifth over. A. Lewis and. B. Hedges fell to successive deliveries, but Tayfield missed the hattrick when the wicket-keeper, J. Waite, dropped a catch off A. Watkins. After this early collapse, Glamorgan batsmen, P. Walker, W. Woolier and D. Ward hit out boldly to take the total past 100. Scores:—
