EXPLOSION IN FLATS
Building Wrecked By Blast (N.Z. Press Association— Copyright) NEW KENSINGTON (Pennsylvania), July 29. At least 13 persons were Injured when an explosion flattened a block of flats last night First reports said no-one was killed. The two-storey building was reduced to shambles when the blast occurred, followed by a fire. Natural gas lines in the basement were reported to have been under inspection when the explosion was triggered. Six persons were admitted to the general hospital, where they were listed as being in satisfactory condition. The hospital said “six or seven” other persons had been treated and released. All the Injured lived in the building in which the blast occurred or an adjoining structure. A police spokesman said there were no deaths.
