Next Match At Taieri
(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, July 31. The New Zealand ploughing championships will be held at Taieri next year and the winner will go to France to compete in the world championships. This was announced by Mr E. J. Melrose, general manager of the Atlantic Union Oil Company, at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Ploughing Association, when he said that his company’s sponsorship of the New Zealand event would be continued in 1961. The president (Mr J. S. Marshall) said that arrangements for the 1962 New Zealand championships were in the hands of the Southland Champion Ploughing Match Association.
