rpHE New Zealand Show jumper, Telebrae', which has been in Europe with his rider, Adrian White, has been competing at shows with the object of qualifying to represent New Zealand in the Individual Grand Prix Jumping Competition to be held on September 7 at the Rome Olympics. * A letter from Mr White said that up until July 9, they had jumped 17 rounds. Of these, seven were clear, eight had four faults, one had eight and one 12. In these events to knock down a rail or have a foot in the water costs four faults. All these events

were decided on time on the first or second rounds. Time is not a deciding factor at the Olympic Games. After competing in three small shows in Switzerland which finished on July 17, the horse is having his next start at Ostende, which will be by far the most important show they have attended. The Ostende show is being held at present. Although the performances of horse and rider to date have been most encouraging, a decision as to whether they join the Olympic team in Rome will be made immediately after the Ostende Show, the letter said.
