Seven Climbers Killed
IN.Z Press Association— CORTINA D’AMPEZZO (Italy). July 27. Seven young Italian climbers were found dead today roped together in a 1500 ft deep crevasse on Antelao Peak, which they set out to scale, American Associated Press reported.
There were four men and three women aged from 17 to 30—all amateur mountain climbers.
The seven set out yesterday to climb the mountain. They failed to return to their base last night and guides led a rescue squad out this morning to search for them. It was believed one had fallen and pulled the other down.
