Business Women’s Club
Mr Colin Averill gave a talk on his visit to Italy at the annual meeting of the Christchurch Business and Professional Women’s Club. * Mr Averill told of his visit to a village there to meet a child sponsored by his family under the Save the Children Fund, and of the dire poverty in the locality. The club president (Miss E. McDavitt) read the twenty-eighth annual report Officers were elected as follows:
President, Miss E. McDavitt; vice-president Mrs M. Taylor; secretary, Miss E. Garton; committee, Mrs R. C. Farrier, Misses P. Gross, H. Holmes, L. Matthews, M. Boot; club hostess, Miss F. A. Black; assistant hostess, Miss A. Hall.
