Aircraft On Way To Melbourne
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, July 28. The New Zealand stayer. Aircraft, which is on the fourth line of favouritism for the Centenary Melbourne Cup, will arrive in Melbourne by float on Saturday, the Melbourne "Sun" reported today.
Aircraft arrived tn Sydney from New Zealand in the Wanganella on Monday, and will leave this morning in the care of Peter Wadham, a son of Len Wadham. the horse’s trainer.
The trainer’s son said in Sydney last evening that Aircraft had received a set-back after the sea trip. “Aircraft suffered from sea sickness and then had an attack of colic, so I doubt if I will be able to work him for a week or two,” he said. Aircraft will be accompanied to Melbourne by Dislocate, which has won over hurdles In New Zealand. Dislocate was likely to be set for the Cup Hurdle, the “Sun" said.
