NEW TROPHY

A new trophy will be competed for at the New Zealand ploughing championships at Washdyke tomorrow. It is for the competitor under 25 years of age who receives the highest points. The trophy donated by the Ford Motor Company of New Zealand Ltd., will be held by the New Zealand Ploughing Association and a miniature will be given to the winner.

Announcing the gift of the trophy, the president of the New Zealand Ploughing Association, Mr J. S. Marshall, junior, of Invercargill, said that his association accepted it with due regard to the reason for which it was given —the encouragement of young ploughmen.
