COLES OFFER ACCEPTED
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, July 26. Shareholders of Matthews, Thompson and Company, Ltd., have been recommended by their directors to accept the revised terms of a takeover offer of G. J. Coles-and Company, Ltd. The chairman, Mr F. L Thompson in a circular to shareholders, said on July 6 the directors were prepared to recommend an offer of Woolworths, Ltd., but at that date no offer had been received from Coles.
