MINOR ACCIDENTS IN CITY
Cyclist Admitted To Hospital
Six persons were injured in minor accidents in Christchurch yesterday but only one was admitted to hospital. He was, Leonard George Tobeck, a cyclist, of 405 Harewood road, who was involved in an accident with a truck in Harewood road at 6.24 p.m. He was admitted to Princess . Margaret Hospital. Last evening his condition was described as satisfactory.
At 8.15 a.m. a motor-cyclist, Robert John McLennan, of 7 De Havilland crescent, was involved in a collision with a car outside 84 Riccarton road. He was treated for shock at the Christchurch Hospital and sent home.
A power-cyclist, David Henry McLenaghan, of 58 Flemington street, North Beach, was treated for lower limb injuries at the Christchurch Hospital and sent home. He ha4J been involved in an accident with a car on the corner of Cranford street and Main North road at 8.20 a.m. Mrs Beverley Rarukawa, of 65 Middleton road, was treated for head injuries and sent home after she had been involved in a collision between two cars in Avonside drive about 8.50 p.m. A man and his son were both treated for head injuries after an accident between two cars on the corner of Waltham road and Hastings street about 8 p.m. They were Brian Arthur Mason and his son Wayne Mason, of 128 Wilsons road.
Mr R. Stannard, of 94 Randolph street, Woolston, was examined in the casualty department of the Christchurch Hospital and sent home after his car had hit a pole on the corner of Moorhouse avenue and Durham street.
