Court Injunction Delays Rome Trip
(N.Z. Press Association—Copy ng Ml NEW DELHI, July 28. India’s champion Olympic hockey team, scheduled to leave Bombay for Rome today, postponed its departure following a court injunction prohibiting it from leaving India before August 2. Indian Olympic Association officials said efforts were still being made to get the injunction vacated. The injunction followed a suit filed by the Indian National Cycling Federation in Bombay against the Indian Olympic Association, challenging the decision to disaffiliate the federation. Pending disposal of the case, the Court issued an injunction restraining the 1.0. A. from sending any team to the Rome Olympic Games, or to any other games or regipnal games held under the Olympic movement, before August 2. The Indian hockey team has been a frequent winner of the Olympic gold medal since it first participated in the Olympic Games of 1924.
