Fendalton Road
Sir, —Would the Transport Board in conjunction with the Waimairi County Council consider the establishment of a zebra crossing at the Wairarapa terrace bus stop to enable residents in this area to cross safely, this increasingly busy highway? Visibility for the pedestrian as well aS the motorist, is decidedly limited both to the north and south. This would be a temporary improvement preparatory to the final widening of this section of the Fendalton' road. Perhaps the Memorial avenue bus stop could be located alongside the N.A.C. bus stop at the junction of Holmwood and Fendalton roads, where visibility is better either way.—Yours, etc., OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS.
July 4, 1960. [The chairman of the Waimairi County Council (Mr A. R. Blank) comments: “Any request of the nature contained in this letter will receive full consideration if referred direct to the council.’’]
