VAN BLOWN OFF MOTORWAY
Wellington Salesman Badly Hurt

A salesman was seriously injured when wind blew his van off the . Johnsontfille-Porirua highway at 4.45 p.m. today. He is Mr L. Jackson, of Duthie street, Karori. He Was admitted to Wellington Hospital suffering from shock, concussion, -a suspected fractured Skull and abrasions to the head, hands, and legs. The police said the Van, travelling north, crashed; into the guard rail after being blown across the road. About 30 yards of railing and three concrete posts wfere damaged before the Van drooped down a seven-foot bank on to the other lane of the motorway. The van was wrecked.
