Electric Power Charges
Sir, —In several issues of “The Press” the Ellesmere Power Board has advertised cheap electric power. Can anyone tell me the rate for domestic consumers in the Ellesmere power board’s district? Tile rate in Rangiora is: 40 units at 6d, 40 units at 3d, 120 units at 2d balance at Id.—Yours, etc., INQUIRER. July 19, 1960. [The general manager of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board (Mr W. N. Rasmussen) said: “The board’s ordinary domestic rate provides for all units used in the home including waterheaters at a fixed charge of 5s a month plus 280 units for a month at 1.2 d each, and the balance at •7d”J
