Poliomyelitis Clinics
Clinics for poliomyelitis injections, for persons between the ages of six months and 21 years, will commence in the following towns, and will be held On the same day every fourth week: July 25, Greendale Plunks: rooms, from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.; Hororata Plunket rooms, from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.; Lyttelton Plunket rooms, from 1.30 pun. to 3 p.m. 1 July 27, Glentunnel school, from 9.45 am. to 10.30 a.m.; Lake Coleridge Plunket rooms, from 1 pm to 2 p.m.; Windwhirtie school, from 11 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. July 28. Lincoln Plunket rooms, from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.; Leeston Plunket rooms, from 11 a.m 'to midday. MINOR FIRES An oven fire at 16 Keswick street, Woolston.. owned by Caroline Jane Harris, was extinguished by one unit from the Woolston brigade, at 2.24 p.m. on Saturday. Clothing left in front of an open fire in a house occupied by Mrs D. Hopkinson at 414 Madras street caught alight about 4.18 p.m. on Saturday. One unit from the St. Albans brigade attended.
At 8.21 a.m. yesterday, one unit from Sydenham attended ail oven fire at 80 Thackeray street, occupied by Mr M. Malcolm. A short circuit in the wiring caused a fire in a car parked outside 436 Wilsons road at 4,39 p.m. yesterday. The vehicle is owned by Elizabeth Crosby. Slight damage was done to the wiring. The call was answered by a unit from the Central brigade.
