(N.Z. Press Association—Copynpnu LONDON, July 21. South Africa would have a dual coinage system using pounds, shillings and pence as well as rands and cents for about 20 months after the change to decimal coinage next year, Dir. Amt, chairman of the Decimalisation Board said in Cape Town, says the “Financial Times.” The dual coinage system would be necessary because a nationwide switch on any one date was impracticable. Npt only were there about 150,000 monetary machines to be converted, but they were scattered over about 800,000 square miles so that an army of technicians would be required to make a change on any one date.
