Unauthorised Collectors
Well-meaning but unauthorised collectors—mainly children—are causing concern and embarrassment to the general committee of the West Coast and Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society. This matter was discussed at a recent meeting of the committee, when members heard that children had been collecting from door to door for the society in the Woolston and Opawa areas. The society never undertook this type of collection for cash and would be grateful if the public would note this and not make gifts to unauthorised collectors. said the president (Mr L. G. K. Steven).
